Welcome to Momlittleones.com!
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Rita Rahayu Omar. I am a mother of 3 and a firm believer in the goodness of breastfeeding. Like
most new nursing mom, breastfeeding was not exactly a bed of roses in the beginning for me. I've been down in the trenches to know the kind
of challenges and niggling problems that we face. But I believe it was the emotional bonding experience and personal satisfaction that I derive
from nursing which made me dedicate myself to helping other mothers to breastfeed. My three lil' ones, Adam, Alysha and Aidan are testimony to
the wonders of breastfeeding. When I was pregnant with Aidan in 2006, Alysha (who was almost 3 by then) was breastfed throughout my pregnancy!
Alysha finally weaned off at 3 years and 2 months.
I am currently a life member of the Lactation Advisors and Consultants Association
in Malaysia. I am a certified lactation counselor and member of the Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM), Damansara Specialist Hospital and
Putrajaya Hospital breastfeeding support group which I do on a voluntary basis. I have vast experience in helping new nursing mothers and also
those with nursing difficulties to successfully breastfeed. I have been a breastfeeding advocate for more than 6 years now. I am one of the panel
of consultants for the Pa&Ma Magazine (Malaysia's No #1 Parenting Magazine) and responsible for answering all breastfeeding related questions
under their 'Ruangan Laktasi' column.
Momslittleones.com was born out of my passion for breastfeeding. We are committed to empowering
you in your decision to breastfeed by providing you with information about breastfeeding as well as featuring the most trusted and dependable products
available in the market today. We feature products that assist you in all stages from Pregnancy right up to early childhood.
Because I have used many of these products myself while breastfeeding my own children or seen them benefit other nursing moms, I have the utmost
confidence in them.
I would like to strongly urge any mother encountering difficulties with breastfeeding to join and consult
a local breastfeeding support group (public and most private hospitals have one e.g. DSH, Ampang Puteri, Pantai). Btw, don't forget to download
my Guide to Successful Breastfeeding! (located at the "Reading Room" of my website)
Finally, Good Luck and please do
not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions. I'd be happy to hear from you. May I take this opportunity to wish you Happy Mothering!
